Chronology
Once again, Sonic, Knuckles and Tails face a powerful new enemy, Shadow, a mysterious villain with powers unlike anything they’ve faced before. Team Sonic must find an unlikely alliance using their abilities. Both Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2001) and Shadow the Hedgehog (2005) were cited by the makers of the previous films as inspiration for the solo game. The film also draws inspiration from narrative elements of the Saturday morning animated television series Sonic the Hedgehog (1993). Commander Walters: [Shadow] Project Shadow is so much more than what we’ve met. Shadow’s story began much like yours, Sonic. But where you found family and friends, Shadow found only pain and loss.
