Chronology
Follows a group of military superheroes consisting of a human leader, a werewolf, a vampire, a Frankenstein’s monster, and a gorgon. Gunn himself greenlit the project when he became CEO of DC Studios. Series writer and creator James Gunn appears in the opening credits with a laptop, writing the script. He is in the cast of AniMat’s Crazy Cartoon Cast: The Return of the King (Over the Hill) (2023).

The DC
C. universe is promising and welcome. The story makes the characters well-groomed, and the animation is top-notch. Speaking of animation, the new Tomorrow-verse animation looked very cheap and flat, with no life in the animation style or stories.
The art style is fun, vibrant, and well-drawn
AUs of great stories like Under the Red Hood, Justice League: Dark, and Superman: Doomsday set the standard for quality comic book animation. I collected all the animated films from that time and I wasn’t interested in Tomorrow-verse, due to the lazy writing and lazy art. But Creature Commandos is a return to form for quality animation. I’m already interested in the characters and the story is interesting.
