Chronology
After escaping from an island prison where he spent 14 years after being wrongly accused of treason, Edmond Dantès returns as the Count of Monte Cristo to seek revenge on the men who betrayed him. His performance clearly reflects the character’s evolution from innocent sailor to vengeful vigilante on the verge of self-destruction. The actress who plays Haydée also deserves a special mention: she absolutely steals the show.
